National Day Parade 2009 rehearse - 25July2009

Yesterday went to NDP rehearse with Mum. Overall I think this year is the best I had ever seen. I am more attracted to the LED light effect of the stage and surrounding rather than the performances. A lot of LED light were used and they glowed so nicely at night. How I wish I could be the crew so I can see a few more times. Only then I could find the best angle and timing to take the best photos. :D

We got green sector seating and so we went to green sector and collect the fun pack. Nothing exciting was inside except for the bag. I change the flap of the bag with Mum. She got yellow and luckily I got PURPLE! The person there refused to let us choose the color. I pity them if they encountered pro bargainers. HAHHAs.

We reached quite early so we had to be barbecued under the sun for 1 hour plus before we are cut up and served. Even though it was very hot, but the sky was blue and calming. It started the show with the Big Eye interacting with us. It asked if we were warm. Then it promised to on the air-con if we sang the birthday song for Singapore. But after singing, Big Eye said it will on the air-con at 7pm. Of course everyone =.=. Then Big Eye told us to wait long long cause very expensive! HHAHAHAHs. The kids around me were like: "He cheated us! BAD EYE! BAD EYE! ROAR~"

Then the host suddenly tell us to look closely up the sky for the Red Lion. So everyone looked super closely and guess what. Two eagles were flying on top. Then everyone around me were like: "Is it the eagles??? This year special huh???" HHAHAHAHAs. The host quickly said: "The Red Lion is not the eagles!!!" HAHHAHAHAs.

The cabinet ministers were very funny too. Everyone were laughing when correct name was said but wrong person appeared. HAHHAHAs. They were professional by waving hand and smiling nicely at us even though there were a few moments when they giggled. But the audiences were like enjoying themselves, laughing away at them. HHAHAHs.

I like the part where they came up with the story that What if Singapore was threatened one day. A few bombs were activated and they exploded with a loud sound and that shocked the two woman sitting beside me. I can't help looking at them got shocked by the loud sound because they really jumped. The sea craft was so exciting but too far from us. I will go see it next Saturday. I love how all the forces come together and defend the country with all the impressive vehicles.

Then came the parade, the part where I always will watch with close attention every year without fail for the Guard-of-Honour. Every year only the GOH marched the most orderly to me and that make me very impressive, but a lot of effort were put in. They looked very smart too. Great job! When the cabinet president was inspecting, there was canon and once again, I saw the two women beside me jumped for every canon put. Count how many times they can jumped. HHAHAHAHs.

And finally it was sunset and the performances finally began. No more hot sun but cooling air. Time to be impressed by the colorful LED light.

This year, the performance by Soka is not very remarkable, not much climax. The performance ended with Electrio singing 'What do you see' with Live band. I love Live band!!! This year, the theme song is very nice but I don't quite know where Electrio come from. How I wish I can watched again. :D
